Yih-Chau Chang Starbucks Valentine's Day 2012 Buycott Letter

February 14, 2012

Dear Starbucks Management:

I wanted to take a few minutes and tell you why I stopped by to support your business today.  As a common, law-abiding citizen who believes in my basic, fundamental, and enumerated civil right to self defense, I felt that it was my personal duty to stand up against the gun control lobby's bullying tactics and intimidation on the same day that they organized a boycott to patronize your location and let you know that,…

Matthew O. December 31st

I decided to exercise my right to open carry a handgun on the last day that I was "allowed" too. While I open carry fairly often, it is usually only for a short period of time (after work). This day I went to the hardware store for a couple hours, followed by the grocery store for about an hour and a half doing a lot of New Years Eve shopping. I can't believe the reactions I got!

While at the hardware store the only person I caught looking at my weapon (more than a glance) was the…

Robert Morse The District's Broken Gun-Free Zone

I'm sure this was temporary, but the District of Columbia forgot to put out the signs warning that their gun-free zone was broken for most of 2011.

The gun-free zone was way broken, as in pretending to stop the Potomac River with a barbed wire fence kind of broken.  There are laws prohibiting the sale of drugs in D.C., yet the District is known as an easy city in which to get drugs.  It is obviously an…

It is amazing to me how life delivers in multiples. I received today the CRPA's latest update on the goings on with their organization. Embedded in their email was a link to Responsible Citizens of California........ After checking out what you guys and Gals do I couldn't wait to sign up and did so. Gerry L Nance What do I know the 2nd Amendment means?

The 2nd Amendment says: (I'll say this in a few ways)

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

2A is about both the individual right, power, and authority of We the People, who are the whole of the unorganized militia to bear arms, and of the State to form a well regulated "organized" militia. We…

Matthew O. What can or is being done to reverse AB144?

Does anybody know?

Added by Matthew O. on November 10, 2011 at 3:50pm — 1 Comment

Matthew O. After Jan 1, 2011.

Hello Responsible Citizens of California,

I propose that in the time between Jan first until we get AB144 overturned, while we're open carrying our long guns, that we openly carry, holstered, a mock handgun (made of a solid piece of wood or plastic, like what you see at gun accessory stores to show off attachments). It might be smart to paint it blue to mark it as "Inert".…

Matthew O. Handgun Unloaded Open carry may still be legal in CA after Jan 1

I'm no lawyer or English major, BUT from what I read in AB 144 it may still be legal for us to open carry in California after the bill takes affect.

By the wording of the bill (both the summary and the actual statutes) you would only be breaking the law if you are open carrying your handgun while in possession of ammunition capable of being used by that weapon.

By my reading this would mean that IF I were carrying my .45 1911 unloaded and open while I'm carrying 9mm ammunition…

James P Irvin Looking stupid

Looking stupid "

Do you really want to walk down the street or sit in a starbucks drinking a cup of coffee with a scatter gun thrown over your shoulder or a rifle cradled under your arm" if you do then you have not the sense you were born with .

The average american is getting just what he or she deserves when it comes to his or her gun rights and I have said this before so I will say it again no one can walk over you unless you as an individual or group of a like…

Robert Morse Not a Life Worth Saving in San Diego?

Last week the President was in La Jolla raising money.  He was in the right place; he went to La Jolla, not El Centro.  Our president had his considerable security detail as well as sheriffs deputies from the San Diego county for protection.  Who could be safer than the president in La Jolla.

San Diego is a may-issue county with a…

Robert Morse The Gun Rights Policy Conference in Chicago

Many of you missed it. Who did you miss on stage at the gun rights policy conference in Chicago? You missed Don Kilmer and Gene Hoffman from our home state of California. You missed Otis McDonald and his family, and Alan Gura and Alan Gottlieb.  They are key players in the lawsuit against the city of Chicago that went to the supreme court.…

Adrian Servin Letter to Jerry Brown. This was Faxed, Emailed and Mailed

Dear Governor Jerry Brown,

Thank you for your continued service to the state of California as our Governor, but I was dissmayed to hear that a bill AB 144 was at your desk to be signed.  This bill is not protecting the rights of private citizens in regards to the posession of firearms for personal protection.

I believe that your particular stance is constitutional and not in the best interest of tyranny against California's law abiding citizens. …

Alany Helmantoler VETO REQUESTS FOR GOVERNOR BROWN!

Dear Members,

The bill to ban Open Carry in the state did make it further than before but we are looking at the opportunities of a veto. If you write the Governor keep it respectful, bullet-pointed and ONE page because he will read these if received next week. We will be working to send a strong message through a veto. If AB 144 is not vetoed we are looking at January 1st 2012 as a start to the ban and we will be looking into the exemptions and will sit down with a team and run all…
