Dear Governor Jerry Brown,
Thank you for your continued service to the state of California as our Governor, but I was dissmayed to hear that a bill AB 144 was at your desk to be signed. This bill is not protecting the rights of private citizens in regards to the posession of firearms for personal protection.
I believe that your particular stance is constitutional and not in the best interest of tyranny against California's law abiding citizens. While I understand the opposing argument, I can not give my support to anyone who fails to protect my constitutional rights given to us by the founders of our country.
Anyone supporting an initiative to futher restrict this right will have established that they do not respect the rights of private citizens, and as such cannot count on my support moving forward, be it an election or otherwise.
When Elected Officials decide that they value the constitutional rights that were promised to us centuries ago they will have my support, but by signing this bill you will have lost my vote and my support of your future political endeavors.
